More than 28 years after ABC shut the door on “Dynasty,” the quintessential high-gloss 1980s soap in 1989, the CW has created a 2017 version that debuts Wednesday.
Grant Show jumps from “Devious Maids” to this show as the lead Blake Carrington. For him, this means staying in Atlanta, where “Dynasty” is shot.
Two other shows shot in Atlanta debut this week: the CW’s military drama “Valor” Monday and Amazon’s horror anthology “Lore” Friday.
The third season of USA’s award-winning drama “Mr. Robot” is back Wednesday while the CW brings back season two of its Archie comics takeoff “Riverdale.”
And on Sunday, Showtime brings the phrase “White Famous” into the mainstream with its comedy about a black comic trying not to compromise his “blackness” by reaching out to the “white” world.
MONDAY
“The Robot Chicken Walking Dead special” 8 p.m. Adult Swim — “The Walking Dead” creators cooperated for a series of “Dead”-related sketches.
“The Big Bang Theory” 8 p.m. CBS — Amy records Sheldon talking in his sleep and tries to convince him that he has a more laid-back side.
“Dancing With the Stars” 8 p.m. ABC — Last week, the show chose not to eliminate anybody the day after the Vegas mass shooting. That means double elimination today.
“Valor” 9 p.m. the CW (new series) — The Shadow Raiders, an elite unit of U.S. Army helicopter pilots, begin with a top-secret mission in Somalia going terribly awry.
“Scorpion” 10 p.m. CBS — Poachers almost kill a pregnant endangered deer, so Team Scorpion recreates the animal’s womb to save it and its baby’s life.
“The Brave” 10:01 p.m. NBC — After receiving intel that a major arms dealer will be visiting Caborca, Mexico, Patricia makes a controversial decision that could lead to a big break through.
“The Good Doctor” 10:01 p.m. ABC — A patient isn’t honest with his doctors, and this may cost him his chance at life-saving surgery.
TUESDAY
“Lethal Weapon” 8 p.m. Fox — Murtaugh and Riggs investigate the mysterious death of famous singer Shaye’s bodyguard.
“2017 Hip Hop Awards” 8 p.m. BET — DJ Khaled hosts.
“The Flash” 8 p.m. the CW (fourth season debut) — A powerful armored villain threatening to level Central City if the Flash doesn’t appear.
“NCIS” 8 p.m. CBS — Torres’ partner mysteriously vanishes during a stakeout with Metro P.D.
“Fresh Off the Boat” 8:30 p.m. ABC — Eddie tries out for football, despite being forbidden to by Jessica.
“Black-ish” 9 p.m. ABC — Bow feels overwhelmed after the birth of DeVante and learns she has postpartum depression, so Dre urges her to get help and stands by her side as she works through it.
“This is Us” 9 p.m. NBC — Kate visits Kevin on the set of his movie.
“The Mayor” 9:30 p.m. ABC — Courtney visits his old elementary school and wants to save their music program, so Val educates him about how he needs to work the system in order to do this.
“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” 9:30 p.m. Fox — Now that he’s officially back at the precinct and desperate to solve a real case, Jake finds a loophole to get out of his temporarily designated desk duty.
“American Horror Story” 10 p.m. FX — The title is “Mid-Western Assassin.” (FX doesn’t seem to like providing anything more descriptive.)
“Kevin (Probably) Saves the World” 10 p.m. ABC — Yvette tries to guide Kevin in his mission to help others, but Kevin’s good intentions go awry when he tries to help a local brewer.
“NCIS: New Orleans” 10 p.m. CBS — Pride and his team join forces with FBI Director Isler when a Russian operative.
“Law & Order True Crime” 10 p.m. NBC — With Lyle and Erik in custody for suspicion of murder, defense attorney Leslie Abramson works tirelessly alongside Jill Lansing to understand the motive that could drive two young men to commit such a heinous crime.
WEDNESDAY
“The Blacklist” 8 p.m. NBC — While the Task Force investigates a series of suspicious police shootings, Agent Ressler is distracted by increasing external pressures..
“Riverdale” 8 p.m. the CW (second season debut) — Archie struggles with the emotional aftermath of the shooting at Pop’s diner.
“Empire” 8 p.m. Fox — When Cookie is denied a line of credit, she flashes back to her years in prison and compares her past struggles to her life now.
“Survivor” 8 p.m. CBS — Former Atlantan Desi has gotten about 10 seconds of airtime so far.
“Dynasty” 9 p.m. the CW (new series) — The reboot of the sudsy drama about two wealthy families feuding over their fortune and children premieres. It’s shot in Norcross.
“Law & Order: SVU” 9 p.m. NBC — When a man is found castrated and left for dead, Rollins and Carisi uncover three female suspects with possible motives.
“Modern Family” 9 p.m. ABC — Phil thinks he’s going to have a day of bad luck after he doesn’t complete his daily superstition
“Seal Team” 9 p.m. CBS — Jason and the SEAL team must rescue a group of researchers being held hostage on a ship in the South China Sea.
“Star” 9:01 p.m. Fox — While preparing for an upcoming TV appearance with recording artist Noah Brooks, the girls quickly learn that they will be singing backup instead of co-headlining the performance.
“Chicago PD” 10 p.m. NBC — The murder of a young Latina woman takes the investigation team into the grim world of meat processing.
“Designated Survivor” 10 p.m. ABC — President Kirkman is faced with a viral pandemic.
“Mr. Robot” 10 p.m. FX (third season debut) — Elliot gets woke and realizes that his mission needs help from Angela.
THURSDAY
“I Love You, America” 8 p.m. Hulu (new series) — From inciting treason to telling poop jokes, Sarah Silverman has created her fair share of online chatter. With I Love You, America, she’s looking to connect with people who may not agree with her personal opinions through honesty, humor, genuine interest in others, and not taking herself too seriously.
“Gotham” 8 p.m. Fox — Bruce Wayne puts the lives of Gotham Natural History Museum historian Niles Winthrop and his grandson, Alex, in danger in an attempt to uncover the meaning behind his prized knife from the auction.
“Grey’s Anatomy” 8 p.m. ABC — Meredith deals with the fallout from her conversation with Nathan.
“Supernatural” 8 p.m. the CW (13th season debut) — Sam and Dean pick up the pieces after the loss of their mother, the demise of Crowley and the heartbreaking death of Castiel.
“The Good Place” 8:30 p.m. NBC — Tahani throws a dinner party to impress.
“Arrow” 9 p.m. the CW (sixth season debut) — Oliver deals with the fallout of the explosion on the island.

“Lore” 3:01 a.m. Amazon (new series) — A horror anthology series based on the podcast of the same name. It was shot in metro Atlanta.
“Mindhunter” 3:01 a.m. Netflix (new series) — How do we get ahead of crazy if we don’t know how crazy thinks? Two FBI agents (Jonathan Groff & Holt McCallany) set out on a sinister investigative odyssey to discover the brutal answers.
“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” 8 p.m. the CW (third season debut) — Rebecca plots revenge against Josh, after he abandoned her at the altar.
“Hell’s Kitchen” 8 p.m. Fox — The chefs must complete a four-tiered shellfish tower with “fast hands.”
“MacGyver” 8 p.m. CBS — MacGyver, using cuff links and a wire, tries to gain access to diamonds in a casino vault.
“Hawaii Five-O” 9 p.m. CBS — Five-0 enlists the help of an old friend when the boss of a major crime family is murdered.
“Jane the Virgin” 9 p.m. the CW (fourth season debut) — Jane is reunited with her first love Adam.
“The Exorcist” 9:01 p.m. Fox— The situation at the foster home continues to deteriorate, as Andy tries to help his foster daughter, Grace, overcome her agoraphobia.
“Blue Bloods” 10 p.m. CBS — Erin’s trial against a notorious human trafficker is jeopardized when the presiding judge is mysteriously found dead.

“Love Struck Cafe” 9 p.m. Saturday Hallmark — An aspiring architect faces several work challenges involving her hometown and her childhood mentor, but then her personal life gets complicated as well when her father breaks his leg and the childhood sweetheart who broke her heart resurfaces.
“Saturday Night Live” 11:29 p.m. Saturday NBC — Kumal Nanjiani hosts. Pink performs.
“Psycho In Law” 8 p.m. Sunday Lifetime — It’s been two years since Tina’s husband-to-be, Brock, lost his first wife in a tragic accident. Everyone is thrilled to see Brock so happy with Tina, except Joyce, Brock’s former mother-in-law, who is determined to stop the marriage and keep Harper to herself.
“Ghosted” 8:30 p.m. Sunday Fox — With the encouragement of Max, Leroy romantically pursues a female cop, while they work on-site at a local resort.

“Survivor’s Remorse” 10 p.m. Sunday Showtime (fourth season finale) — Cam and Reggie are at odds about getting involved in a deal that involves abandoned school property.
“Madam Secretary” 10:30 p.m. Sunday CBS — Elizabeth is involved in a car accident in Libya when she goes there to help negotiate an end to their civil war and must secure medical care for a gravely wounded local girl who was hit by Elizabeth’s chauffeured vehicle.
